Gender Sensitive Capabilities Framework: An Emerging Approach to the Study Capability Deprivation of Elderly Women in India

Abstract

The author traces the history of capability approach to Amartya Sen and Martha Nabussum. She identifies with the gender sensitive list of capabilities generated by Ingrid Robeyns. The paper focuses advocates for using the gender sensitive capabilities framework for studying deprivation of elderly women in India.
