This study is relevant in the present day world context due to the unreliable and intermittent supply of water in Jorhat town, residents often facing the challenges regarding household water security. Therefore, it is being tried to highlight the household water security in Jorhat town, Assam with the focus of the term water availability, accessibility, usage and water quality. Both primary and secondary data has been used and the methodology employed here and a sample of 600 households was drawn with the help of purposive random sampling method from all municipal wards and pre-tested structured schedules have been used. The results pertain that the residents across the nineteen municipal wards facing the problem of water availability and it's hard to access from distant sources which usually involve time, money and distance. In addition to this, quality of water plays an integral role in respect of health concern but it shows the dissatisfaction from the respondents.
