The methodology used in this study is a qualitative research with a descriptive-interpretive approach that has a comparative-analytic approach toward religious and psychological resources. In this article, considering the necessity and importance of the issue of self-esteem in Islam, we have evaluated and compared the concept of self-esteem from the perspective of psychologists advocating humanistic approaches and Islamic viewpoints. In the following article to familiarize teachers and parents with self-esteem training methods in Islam, we have separately considered methods of improving self-esteem for each group with the separation of human developmental phases into childhood and adolescence and we have also used religious resources and emphasised on traditions. We hope that this research will be a practical guide for parents and educators who tend to strengthen the self-esteem of their children and students according to the Islamic educational programs.
