Abstract

Transmogrification means transformation of soul from a body to other one and is one of the important issues addressed in Islam and other religions. Many of east philosophic schools as well as other religions such as Buddha and Hindu consider this issue as evidence of world life and investigated it widely. But Islamic scholar particularly noteworthy Islamic philosophers rejected it briefly. Transmogrification is not only incorrect from east philosophy and initial philosophy as well as transcend philosophy but also is impossible and recusant. Great Islamic philosophers such as Ebn-e-Sina as director of initial philosophers and Sohrevardi who is considered as pioneer of east philosophy as well as Sadrodin Mohammad Shirazi, the pioneer of transcend philosophy have spoken in this regard reasonably and based on documents and evidence and analyzed and studied different types of transmogrification accurately and in different dimensions; they consider some types possible and some recusant and invalid, completely. Islamic philosophic schools, however, have not agreed well on the invalidity of transmogrification, they have difference with each other in reasoning and attitude toward the issue.
