Investigating the impact of Extrinsic Reward and Intrinsic Reward On Employees Job Satisfaction: A Case Study

Abstract

Employees Job Satisfaction is essential to the success of any industry and it depends on many factors in any organization. One of the main factors affecting is reward. Rewards can be classified into two categories which are intrinsic and extrinsic. Extrinsic reward refers to something tangible such as salary, promotion, freedom in office and job security and intrinsic rewards refers to intangible factors like praise and acknowledgement. In this paper the impact of these two types of reward on Employees job satisfaction in metal industry in Shiraz-Iran is investigated.
