The objective of the present study is under taken to address the job stress on gender, designation type of the institution and work experience of the faculty in chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh state. Instrument was used in order to get the responses from higher education institutions faculty members to achieve the above stated objectives. Descriptive statistics, inferential statistics and ANOVA were used to analyze the data. The findings indicate that there is a significant difference in mean scores of faculty having different designations regarding their stress levels. Also the results indicate that there is a significant difference between stress levels of the faculty who are working in technical and non technical institutions with different work experiences.
