This research article tried to throw light on the religion, conflict and terrorism in the State of Jammu and Kashmir. It discussed the issues related before the Independent India and how it was accession to Independent India. It also discussed the major issues of the insurgency and mass killings which took place from the year 1989. It throws light on the religious conflicts that took place and about the mass exodus, in the majority Muslim dominated Kashmir region. It also discussed about some major pacts and agreements between the two countries India and Pakistan and a glance about the present situation in the state. It focussed on the terrorism activities and the number of personnel killed during the last twenty five years.
