Abstract

In Mobile Ad hoc Networks, nodes are mainly depends on the batteries. It consumes more power during the data communication and routing. To maximize the network lifetime these batteries should be used efficiently. In Traditional Routing there are various routing protocol used for MANETs depending on the environment. Comparing with other routing protocols AODV provides better performance in energy efficiency. Also the Opportunistic Routing protocols also provides better utilization of network redundancies. A new routing protocol named Co-operative Opportunistic Routing Based on Geographic location (CORBG) has been implemented to improve the network performance. The performance of network has been analyzes with AODV and CORBG with QoS parameters like throughput, end-to-end delay and energy consumption.
