Study on Labour Productivity Management in the Construction Industry

Abstract

This paper investigated the study of construction labour productivity data for the brick work, solid block masonry and wall plastering with cement mortar work for five construction sites. The construction works which was carried out in the Coimbatore region is the area taken for study purpose. The data for the study is taken by daily method of data collection from which both time and work quantity inputs can be taken. The work standards were maintained satisfying IS requirements. The mean productivity by the labour for brick work, solid block masonry of different block size and plastering is determined.
