This study presents a scientometric anlaysis of animal cell biology research output from Asian countries among Japan, China and India during the period from 1995–2014. The different parameters including the year wise growth rate literature, top affiliation of authors, subject, citation and h index of authors, degree of collaboration, collaborative Index, Country wise Asian countries contribution of publications and keyword occurrences of publications are measured. SCOPUS database has been used to retrieve the data for 20 years (1995–2014) by searching the different relevant keywords in its combined title, Abstract and keywords fields. The growth of literature analyzed in this study indicates that research on animal cell biology grew very fast from 1995 onwards, reached peak in 2005 and stabilized after 2006–2014. There are 15 authors who have made extensive contributions to the animal cell biology, each published at least 20 documents and together they published 506 documents with in the dataset of 13972. Akira is found to be the most productive author among the top 15 authors and his articles are carrying a citation value of 75139 and the corresponding H Index value is 191, However most of the citation deal with life science, biological science and chemistry. There is clear focus in research on improving animal biology, biological science, life science managing animal diseases and augmenting the food and feed quality. As far as the country wise publications in animal cell biology is concerned it has been found that Japan is with the highest publication of 7869 (38.21%), followed by China (5508), United States (3294) and India (1157). Denmark is in the last place with the very low number of publications (56).
