Abstract

Video sequence trajectory has many number of frames included in it. Enormous number of applications has evolved in today's existing scenario for video surveillance. But tracking of such frames under different environmental conditions has led a platform for researchers for further investigations. Therefore video surveillance has become a active area of research in this modern era. We also need to have in mind that the complexity also increases and it has become a mundane task to design an algorithm that bridges the challenges put forth. This paper investigates on algorithms like Gaussian mixture model, memetic algorithms, ant colony algorithm etc. For these algorithms background subtraction is an important criterion which is investigated in this paper. Tests results using commercial video datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of our system in real-world situations. The result was promising in any environmental condition and hence is prone to be a promising one subject to noise factor.
