Abstract

For providing good and continuous water supply of water to all the regions of Hosur Municipality and Sipcot through out the year, Govt of Tamil Nadu has constructed new water treatment plant during 1987. Performance of these plants is essential parameters to be monitored and evaluated for better understanding of Design and operating difficulties in water treatment plants. Hence an attempt is made to investigate the treatment plant in Kelavarapalli Water Treatment Plant. Physio Chemical analysis is proposed to be conducted to investigate water quality. The conclusion drawn from this study outlines the importance of accurate design and need for continous monitoring and analysis of each unit performance.
