Blessed are the human being those who never been to hospitals as patients. As a matter of fact, huge amount of people have been hospitalized for various diseases. Brain tumor is a common disease in the planet earth. Since the conventional way of diagnosing the brain tumor takes longer time, the mortality rate has been raised during diagnosis. So it is inevitable to diagnose the disease in a shorter time.
A prospective study was steered for the investigation of time Procrastination among 184 brain tumor patients in Tirunelveli, the southern part of India using a structured questionnaire, face to face interview and telephonic interviews.
The main procrastination for the early detection of brain tumor is more number of tests (38%) followed by Choose of right Doctor (22%), Rendezvous of doctors (15%), Financial Implications (11%), Second Opinion(8%) and First Opinion(6%)
There is a great need of Automatic brain tumor detection scheme that may help the brain tumor patients to diagnose the disease in a shorter period in order to save the lives well in advance. Automatic brain tumor detection scheme may lessen more number of tests and may take lesser time to diagnose.
