A Study on Sustainability of Milk Supply Chain

Abstract

Milk is highly a perishable commodity and the surplus can't be stored for a long time. So handling this product needs expertise and systematic approach. Otherwise this affects the supply of milk to the society and the union. This paper evaluates milk supply chain sustainability based on six criteria like metrics for order planning, evaluation of supply link, measures and metrics at production level, evaluation of delivery link, measuring customer service and satisfaction, supply chain and logistics cost and was found that Aavin performance is not up to the expected level.
