This paper describes about the preparation of low cost magneto rheological fluid. As per the invention, the proposed magneto rheological fluid utilizes carbon iron powder as magnetic conductive material, Sulphuric acid, potassium hydroxide, and nickel ferrite as additives, and castor oil as a carrier fluid. The cost of castor oil is affordable and available in all seasons and is harmless to use. All major materials are easily to acquire as well as in acceptable cost levels. The main aim of this article is to prepare Magneto Rheological fluid, flow behavior analysis, change in viscosity under magnetic field, lifting tendency and magneto rheological properties.
