This paper attempts to investigate and optimize the objectives namely, Material Removal Rate (MRR) and Tool Wear Rate (TWR) of the micro Electric Discharge Machining (micro EDM) using Taguchi technique. Stainless Steel 316L used in medical, marine and aero applications is used as the work piece and tool electrode was brass of 400μmdiameter. The process parameters considered are the Current, Pulse on time and Pulse off time. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Signal to Noise (S/N) ratio are employed on the conducted experiment to investigate and validate the experimentations. The optimal parameters are determined through the experiments planned, conducted and analyzed using Taguchi technique. The results are presented to exhibit the efficient use of this technique in the manufacturing process.
