Current Forest area monitoring systems often rely on building regulations for maximum sensor nodes to maintaining proper logging. However, in many situations, there are sensor nodes that are used infrequently, and may be drained or detached from the network needlessly. Having knowledge regarding power consumption and being able to accurately predict usage patterns may allow significant energy-savings by intelligent control of the management systems. In this paper, we report on the deployment of a grid based wireless visual sensor network architecture for collecting data which may be used to detect unauthenticated logging, animal census, weather monitoring in a large multi-forest environment that estimates livelihood with an accuracy of 70%. The framework system consist improved L4 Leach protocol for promoting effective energy consumption. Using data collected from this framework, we can construct agent based models for predicting mobility patterns in the forest with support of our L4 Leach protocol. Our simulation indicates a 14% reduction in energy usage by having an optimal control strategy based on energy draining parameters estimates and usage patterns.
