This study investigated and assessed the entrepreneurial intentions of MBA students. This study contributed to academicians discerning of whether, and if so how, education can influence students’ toward entrepreneurship and their entrepreneurial fortitude. It is publicly known that a profession in entrepreneurship offers considerable opportunities for citizens to attain financial sovereignty and profit the economy by contributing to job formation, modernization and economic development.
This study had been initiated with the motive to investigate the antecedents and its impact on entrepreneurial intentions of MBA students and to offer suitable suggestions to fostering entrepreneurial intentions of the students.
This study had been instigated with 642 samples and based on primary data. Multistage sampling and causal research design was administered. The collected data was analyzed by Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) using AMOS software.
The study proposed six factors contributing to the development of entrepreneurial intentions of management students. Accordingly, self-perception features, psychological features, social features, disposition features, education system and exposure to family business are identified as significant determinants for entrepreneurial intention of management students. Results of the study confirmed that these factors had a positive impact on entrepreneurial intentions of management students.
Results of the study confirmed that various antecedents have positive effect on students. attitudes towards entrepreneurial intentions. The finding of the study specifically implied that the universities are advised to pay attention to strengthen the entrepreneurial education by coordinating the regulations, teaching methodologies, faculty and connection with the industry.
