Companies can remain competitive in the long term only if their plants operate safely and to the highest standards. This study aims at understanding the extent to which the employees of an organization is affected by depression due to work place bullying, and identifying the impact of personality in work place bullying in chemical industry. Descriptive research design was followed in this research. The impact of work place bullying on selected demographic, psychological, and outcome variables are studied in detail. The study was conducted in the city of Chennai. The total population was 681. It was found from the research that the Personal Demographic Variables like Age, Gender, Department, and the Personal psychological variable (personality) did not contribute significantly to work place bullying but depression is positively correlated with work place bullying.
