A micro grid which consists of localized group of electrical sources and loads often suffers from voltage dips and sags when operated in isolation. A frame work to design and develop 3 phases, 48 pulse MOSFET converter for voltage mitigation is presented. 3 phases, 48 pulses MOSFET converter is designed and developed for the voltage dip mitigation in microgrid. The dynamics of the system is simulated and tested on a microgrid with pressed voltage dips and performance is measured. The 48 pulse MOSFET converter gives optimal performance when used in the microgrids (3 phase) for voltage mitigation schemes.
