An Investigation on Implementation of Collision Avoidance System in Hatch Back Cars

Abstract

This paper discuss about the implementation of an Collision Avoidance System (CAS) used in cars and describes how it is effectively work to prevent the vehicle from accident. Collision avoidance system enhancing the driving safety and mitigate from the vehicle collision avoidance on the road. It combines the safety measures like Antilock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Program (ESP) in one system. Hence this system is more reliable for reduction of crash fatalities and most of the Sport utility vehicles (SUV) car manufactures are been implement the system for sustaining in the market. Now a day's most of the modern higher end cars and it is sometimes called as Intelligent Vehicles are being manufactured with inbuilt collision avoidance as a proactive crash mitigation system. PID controllers are used in almost all the process control systems in industries and it is important ingredient of a distributed control systems. Engine Control Unit is embedded with Collision avoidance system (CAS) for encounter the vehicle collision and accident prevention on the road transportation.
