Secured QoS Routing and Data Communication in Mobile Ad Hoc Network

Abstract

Secured QoS routing and efficient data delivery are the most important requirements for efficient data communication system in Mobile Ad Hoc Network. Many protocols designed for MANET does not ensure packet transmission through authenticated neighbor node, but instead they use rebroadcast delay, access control and secure data retrieval. Choosing the best representation for a given mobile node through cooperative intermediate nodes is the most critical step in MANET. In this work, we investigate the problem of discovering the resource efficient geo-optimized maximum likelihood routing for improving the data communication in a secured environment and provide better quality of service called, Secured QoS Routing and Data Delivery (SQR-DD). The QoS is rendered by analyzing user (mobile nodes) requested data delivery time to resource efficient geo-optimized maximum likelihood routing. Node cooperativeness factor is arrived for every mobile node in the network with their communication history, where the node's genuine nature is evaluated ensuring secure data communication. Finally, by establishing better cooperative intermediate nodes in the routing path, QoS rendered for user requested services are secured and resources are efficiently utilized. SQR-DD is validated by NS-2 simulator on both controlled and realistic vehicular traces. It observes the cooperative and non-cooperative nodes in practical environments, and consequently propose method to improve bandwidth utilization for rendering quality of service and reduce the energy consumption.
