Performance Enhancement of the Extrusion Process with Smith Predictor and AWPI

Abstract

The temperature in the extrusion process is the important parameter which determines the stability and thereby the quality of the product. The various results recognized in the earlier work suggested the alternative technique to control the temperature in the extrusion process. In addition to the conventional PI/PID controller, smith predictors and AWPI are proposed. This technique of using anti-windup compensator and smith predictor to controller gives better performance than the conventional controllers.
