Abstract

In a view to achieve high step-up voltage gain and high efficiency converter, the present work involves the operation of dual switching power factor corrected (PFC) ac/dc converter having three-winding-coupled inductor and bridgeless configuration. The PFC converter constitutes a dual switching structure and three winding coupled inductor whereas the input side diode bridge rectifier is being eliminated. This novel constitution facilitates the gain of high step-up voltage with relatively low voltage/current stress on the power switches. This work illustrates the working principle and control mechanism of the proposed PFC converter. The verification of the analysis accuracy is performed using MATLAB simulation.
