Security and robustness are two important issues in watermarking algorithm. When malicious watermark removal attack takes place, the existing spread spectrum watermarking schemes are not applicable.
In order to provide tradeoff between robustness and security, a new watermarking technique is used. Spread spectrum is the basic principle used in this watermarking since it increases robustness and this is done in wavelet domain. Various watermark removal attacks are done to prove robustness of the system and security of the system is improved using different pattern for embedding.
