The research demonstrates global issues of modern society and proposes potential solutions for sustainable development on the basis of Mahatma Gandhi's philosophy. A literature review provides a basis for investigating the potential solutions of global issues and describes the essence of the concept of globalization and sustainable development in context of Gandhian philosophy. The researcher attempted to explore phenomena based on a personal experience and experiments of Mahatma Gandhi. The research describes the multidimensional crisis and limitations of globalization and discusses the possibilities of sustainable development in context of Gandhian way of life and therein suggesting the principles of sustainable development such as truth, non-violence and compassion. The research is limited to experience and experiments of Mahatma Gandhi. The major global issues are rooted in economic, legal, ethical, moral, social, educational, cultural, political and psychological dimensions.
