Aggression among Adolescents in relation to Parenting Styles and Gender

Aggression can be controlled in adolescents by teaching them how to reason and think logically through collective discussions. Failure to treat aggression in childhood increases the likelihood of antisocial personality issues in adulthood and one of the most important factors in the development of aggressive behaviors is family, especially parenting style is said to be the most important and influential and the role parents play in terms of their child's social and emotional development. This study was carried out to empirically explore the possible effect of parenting style and gender on aggression among adolescents. The results of the study also indicated that the parenting style and gender significantly affect the aggression among adolescents. Authoritative parenting is the best parenting style to manage aggression among adolescents with family warmth and intimacy.
