E-shopping has gained lot of popularity in this digital era. Online retailers face lot of challenges-Financial, administrative and technological; however these can be combated if they continue to win the confidence of their customers. Online purchases, mostly common among youth, have certain distinct advantages and disadvantages over physical shopping. This paper examines the perceptions of consumer on opportunities and challenges of online shopping in Indian context. Challenges across high-price and low-price purchases are evaluated on the basis of the survey conducted in hi-tech cities of Hyderabad and Chennai. Concurrent Nested Method was adopted for data collection. As per the study, challenges faced by online shoppers for high-priced online purchases are different from low-priced online purchases.
