Project Management success is perceived as a different concept from project success. Researchers have given a clear differentiation among these two concepts. Project management success deals with how the time, cost and specification objectives of the project are met. On the other hand, project success measure includes the psychological outcomes and financial benefits of the project. It is necessary to understand the impact of project management success on project success, i.e., team satisfaction and Business Performance.
The study was conducted among 229 residential apartment projects in Kerala, the unit of analysis being the project. A literature search was initiated to derive the concept of project management success, team satisfaction, and business performance. A statistical analysis of the collected data provided information on the impact of project management success, which is traditionally project efficiency, on team satisfaction and business performance. The findings from this study sought to fill the gap pertaining to the relationship between these variables, thereby providing a better understanding of project results.
The results show that there is a strong relationship between project management success and business benefits and stakeholder satisfaction. Better achievement of project management success can result in better project success.
