One of the serious issues that all the nations are dealing every day is death and injuries due to the population growth and all lead to accidents in both Railways and Road as well. So a simple and novel approach is need to determine his problem with low cost to prevent the problem that are associated with railways fro0m collision using computer vision techniques are proposed. A novel approach is introduced to find the distance of the obstacle (Animal, Human and Vehicle) from collision in real time from a thermal camera mounted on the locomotive is also proposed. This proposed approach is trained with standard templates from the video that are captured with all reasoning. This work has been implemented in real-time consist of positive and negative images and it has been tested on various positions and weather conditions with varying locomotive speed. Based on the two second aspect this proposed approach can alerts the loco-pilot when the vehicle speed in advance, so that the loco-pilot may get enough time to react according to the situation whether they want to put break or not. Finally this work had god results to detect and provides alertness accordingly.
