The recent technological development on data network acts as a platform for augmentation of various kinds of digital infrastructures across the banking industry. The concept of payment bank is the recent Indian innovation for extending financial inclusive services across the country using various kinds of digital technologies. Robust data connectivity across the payment banking eco system is the precursor for extending various kind of financial services. The suitable data networks such as Layer 3 MPLS/VPN, dedicated leased lines etc need to be augmented suitably for the requirement of payment banking eco system. This paper discusses augmentation of different kind data networks such as MPLS/VPN based digital lines, cloud and digital lockers for the payment banks. The suitability of these data networks for the payment banking eco system along with the requirement of different kind of performance parameters have also been discussed.
