The paper mainly focuses on the modeling of steam boiler in a 500 MW power plant using the observations obtained for the two year period. Artificial neural networks are employed to represent the complete model of the boiler. The detailed error analysis showed that the ANN model present a 100% accuracy and less than 1% error in all the three phases of training, validation and testing which makes the model fast in response and further to be updated with new data. The results demonstrated the merit of ANN in these complex changing nonlinear conditions.
