Indirect Current Control based Instantaneous Power controller of Cascaded Multilevel Inverter for Shunt Active Power Filter with LC Circuit

Abstract

In this paper three level cascaded multilevel inverter based Shunt Active Power Filter (SAPF) with LC circuit by state space controlling scheme is proposed. Three level cascaded clamped Multilevel Inverter (MLI) can provide high-quality operation for lower switching frequency compared to traditional topologies. The control of inverter gate signal is extracted from the closed loop sate space current equations of the inverter with LC circuit. The instantaneous reactive power theory is analysed from the proposed mathematical model equation. The performance of proposed control method is simulated and verified the guarantee of proposed scheme in MATALB/Simulink.
