A Study on Comparison of Security Features in Public and Private Sector Banks on Prevention of Cyber Crime

Abstract

The development of Information Technology did provide an extreme advantage in all the transactions of business due to the cyber space access at multilevel. The same cyber space accesses have given room for actives of criminal motive. Banking sector is more vulnerable for such cyber crimes, as manipulation of data or information would result in financial gain to the intruder. The threat of Cyber Crime was well understood by the bankers, whether it is private or public or commercial bank. The bankers are taking all possible steps in curb the crime in cyber space. An effective control of cyber crime can be achieved through the heightened awareness of the users of any banking system.
