Abstract

Localization in Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is an important area that attracted significant research interest. Localization is a method to determine the location of the sensor nodes in the communication network. It is highly desirable to design low-cost, scalable and efficient localization mechanisms for WSNs. Route maintenance is an important challenge due to frequent link failures which causes high data losses and delay. Lots of link failure mechanisms were proposed, but all the existing mechanisms have their own limitations. A novel routing algorithm, Predicting and Recovering Link Failure Localization (PRLFL) is proposed in this paper. This algorithm predicts and recovers the link failure in WSN. Simulation result show that the proposed method improves packet delivery and throughput
