The country has travelled two and half years under the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government led by P.M. Shri Narendra Modi. When the present government took over charge of the country, the country was charged with high expectations from it. It was expected from the present government that it will lead India to its zenith of development. Development of a country, however, requires a developmental philosophy on the basis of which it can be developed. Development sans philosophy ruins the country in the long run. The process of building a country entails vision, mission and inspiration. It should be explored that whose thinking has shaped the vision and mission of the present government. It is high time to analyse whether the country is moving towards its dream path with a sound philosophical base or it is drifting away from the original ones.
The present paper analyzes the Modi government policies of economic development and corroborates it with the economic philosophies of Pandit Dindayal Upadhyay&Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Secondly, it also analyzes to whether Modi government is drifting away from the philosophies of Pandit D DUpadhyay&Dr.B.R.Ambedkar and moving towards the philosophy of neoliberalism. The paper brings out paradigm shift in the philosophical dogma of economic development of Modi Government.
