Adjustmental study in relation to personality of female students studying in Co-educational and Uni-educational colleges of Uttarakhand, India

Abstract

Adjustment is a process of maintaining a balance between the needs such as physical, social, psychological and the circumstances that influence the satisfaction of these needs. Adjustment is a continuous process to produce harmonious relationship between a human and her/his environment. The study conducted by the investigator was a sincere attempt to understand the adjustment by female students studying in co-educational and uni-educational colleges of Uttarakhand state in five different areas-Home, Health, Social, Emotional and Educational. The sample consisted of 120 female students studying in four different colleges of co-educational and uni-educational colleges of Uttarakhand state. Two tests-Adjustment inventory for college students A.K.P. Sinha and R.P. Singh, Agra and for personality inventory Hindi Version introversion and extroversion personality prepared by Y. Singh and H. M. Singh. It was found that Extraversion has positive effect on Home, Health, Social, Emotional and Educational.
