Work Environment and News Photographers: A Study of Andhra Pradesh

Abstract

To work in tandem with the principles and objectives of the organization for every professional work environment is most important component and determines the success of the professional. Though the news photographers work most of the time outdoors the work environment in which he/she operates is the key influence on his personal as well as professional life. It helps him in moulding himself in the frame of perfection which that particular profession demands and also helps in upholding the values of it. A study of news photographers working in Andhra Pradesh in India has also discussed this component in detail to find out as to what extent the professionals deal with the responsibilities, functions, work place environment, ideas of profession, guidelines that help them in discharging the duties effectively. The study of news photographers has also shown that many of the samples adopt the in-house environment of the individual organization for which they operate and it varies depending on the type of work the media house is associated with.
