Hidden Values among Prospective Teachers

Abstract

The main objective of the Study is to find out the level of Hidden Values among Prospective teachers with respect to Gender and Educational Streams. Survey method was adopted to collect the relevant data for the present study. Hidden Value Scale (HVS) developed and standardized by the investigator and it was used to collect data for the present study. The Investigator randomly Selected 250 B. Ed. Student Teachers studying in Government, Government Aided and Private Colleges of Education in and around Chennai and Tiruvallur District of Tamilnadu. For analyzing the data mean, standard deviation and “t”-test are used. The major findings of the study are: With regard to gender, the female prospective teachers have higher hidden values compared to male teachers. The Science prospective teachers have higher hidden values compared to Arts teachers.
