Sectoral growth performance of telangana economy and its comparison with nation economy

Abstract

Telangana is a one of the state in union of India, it has been established as 29th state in recent times. Telangana as state 12th largest in geographically and demographically. It is one of the richest state and also one of the drought prone area in the country. Well performance of state economy depends on the performance of various sectors in the economy such agriculture, industry, manufacturing and services etc. to know the state performance, State Income or Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) is the most important indicator for assessing the economic development. It is a measure in monetary terms the total volume of all goods and services produced during a given period of time (usually one year) within the geographical boundaries of the state, accounted without repetition. The change in the relative sectorial shares in GSDP displays the structural change in the overall economy. Present study concentrate on the various sectorial growth performance in the state economy and its contribution to GSDP and comparison with nation economy.
