Environmental awareness in relation to sustainable development

In the present century the most hazardous event is rapid degradation of environment quality. To save the environment for future generation is main important function of human being. It is very urgent to think to protect the world environment and preserve the environmental resources for future generation. Environment awareness related education is a powerful sensitization tool for the conservation of environment, and the sustainable use of natural resources. The concept of sustainable development is closely related to environmental awareness. Because sustainable development depends upon participation by the people and their awareness of protect and preserve the natural resources. Environment related programme helps to impart knowledge to protect and preserve environment for sustainable development. In the present study researcher has tried to find out some strategies which are helpful to generate environmental awareness in mass and school level students. And also focuses on the some steps which are generating environmental awareness for sustainable development. Here researcher mentions some schemes, plan and legislation which are enhancing sustainable development in the environment.
