Perceived Organization Support, Learning & Development, Job Characteristics and P-O Fit: The Contribution of Employee Communication

Abstract

Success begins with relationship between the management and employees in the field of business. To ensure the success, organizations have to incorporate good rapport between their internal customer and external customer, especially with internal customers i.e. employees of the firm. For the attainment of greater level good rapport among the employees, internal communication/employee communication is an essential thing which will leads to Person-Organization fit. So this study aimed to measure the relationship between Perceived Organization Support (POS), Learning and Development (LD), Job Characteristics (JC), and its consequences for Person-Organization (P-O) Fit through the contribution of Employee communication (EC). Reliabilities of POS, LD, JC, EC and P-O Fit were 0.710, 0.650, 0.880, 0.757 and 0.639 respectively. We used AMOS 20.0 for assessment of the relationship between the variables (N = 253). Our findings has been proved that employee communication was positively associated P-O Fit. In addition, we found that EC fully contributes to P-O Fit through POS, LD, and JC. The present study progresses our hypothetical awareness concerning how employee communication plays a vital role in enhancing P-O Fit in the organization.
