RG Tires Private Limited: A Case Study on Industrial Relations

Abstract

Maintaining the conditions leading to good industrial relations is a critical factor for organizational performance. This case study drives discussion on the socio - political perspective of industrial relations. The case study is suitable for management students, who ha ve advanced knowledge of industrial relations, employee unions, and socio - political perspectives of industrial relations. Possible discussions on this case study may include the topics on reporting and compensating for industrial accidents, the procedure of negotiation and dispute settlement, the role of the employee union in maintaining good industrial relations, leadership issues in the employee unions, the socio - political perspective of the industrial relations, and single versus multiple employee union s in a company.
