The increase in the use of smartphones has given rise to variety of mobile apps for a large number of reasons. Ordering food online has seen a significant increase in urban areas. The entry of firms in food delivery through mobile apps business is proving to be a profitable one. In the similar reasons, the present study aims to identify and analyze the factors influencing the intentions of the customers to use mobile apps for ordering food. The opinion regarding the same is collected from 220 customers using mobile apps for ordering food. A structured questionnaire is used to collect the responses using a convenience sampling method in Hyderabad region. The study reveals interesting demographic profile of the customers and reports the positive effect of the six major factors (ease-of-use, convenience, promotions & coupons, speed of delivery, no time for cooking and variety food) on the intentions to use mobile apps.
