Leadership behaviour of the heads of secondary schools of Dibrugarh district

In the present study an attempt has been made to find out the Leadership Behaviour of the Heads of Secondary schools of Dibrugarh District. All the Heads/Principals of the selected 45 Secondary schools of Dibrugarh District were taken as the sample of Heads of Secondary schools. Again, 650 secondary school teachers from 45 sampled Secondary schools of Dibrugarh District were taken as sample of teachers. The results of the study highlighted that the highest number of Heads/Principals 21(46.67%) manifests HH pattern and lowest number of Heads/Principals 4(8.89%) manifests HL pattern of Leadership Behaviour of Heads/Principals. Majority of the Heads obtains high score in ABDS. Again, the study also reveals Leadership Behaviour of Heads of Secondary schools of Dibrugarh District as perceived by the Heads/Principals themselves. With regard to relationship between Leadership Behaviour of Heads and types of management of Secondary schools, no significant relationship was found.
