Abstract

Correlational of studies were made between physical characters (hardness, moisture and damaged grains) fecundity F1 progeny and index of susceptibility while loss in weight and damaged grain correlated with hardness and moisture. Hardness of grain showed significant negative correlation with fecundity (−0.9515), F1 progeny (−0.9458) and index of susceptibility (−0.9846). It means increased hardness, decrease ingrowth and development and vice-versa. The moisture content of the grain showed significant positive correlation with fecundity (0.9614), F1 progeny (0.9594) and index susceptibility (0.9821). The loss in weight and damages grain showed significant positive correlation with F1 progeny and index of susceptibility that increased fecundity, F1 progeny and index of susceptibility.
