Abstract

Trichuriosis due to Trichuris globutosa in goats in Kanpur region of Uttar Pradesh, was studied and a homoeopathic drug spigel 30 and bapt 30 was employed in goats tamed by the individual farmers for constitutional remedies of epidemiology of trichuriosis in goats. Out of 70 examined goats aged between 1–2 years old 13 (18.57%) goats were found to be positive for multiple infection of trematodes, cestode and nematodes. Of which 3 (4.28%) goatswere found infected with Trichuris globulosa nematodes on the basis of faecal examination. In order to investigation the effective drugs as demonstrated by significantly lower egg counts turn out infections and higher body weight gain during different days. The result of the present study indicated that Spigelia and Baptisia with castor-oil treatment has proved to be better remedy without chance of reinfection of trichusiosis in goats.
