Abstract

A study on tuberose hybridization by selfing technique was carried out in the field of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore. The genotypes used for this study viz., Calcutta Single, Hyderabad Single, Kahikuchi Single, Mexican Single, Navsari Local, Phule Rajani, Prajwal, Pune Single, Shringar and Variegated Single. Selfing resulted that after seven days of pollination, the fruits dropped in all the genotypes. This shows the presence of complete self-incompatibility
