The cotton is affording protection against insect pests however aphid was serious problem throughout the crop period. The studies carried out in factorial randomized block design with three spacings (120x45, 60x15 and 45x15 cm), two genotypes (GSHV01/1338 and GBHV-164) and three level of nitrogen (100, 125 and 150%) during Kharif 2013–14. Closer spacings (45x15 and 60x15 cm) attracted more aphid under study as compared to recommended spacing (120x45 cm). The mean population of aphid was found significantly highon GBHV-164 than GSHV-01/1338. Higher dose of nitrogen application on crop (125 and 150% RDN) attracted more aphid as compared to 100 per cent recommended dose of nitrogen (RDN).
