An experiment was conducted to study the effect of spacings, organic and inorganic fertilizer levels on growth and yield of sunflower. The treatments include 2 organic levels (M1-No organics, M2-Compost @ 5 t ha−1), 3 spacings (P1-60cm x 30cm, P2-60cm x 45cm, P3-60cm x 22.5cm and 3 fertilizer levels (F1100% NPK (90: 45: 45 kg ha−1) + S +ZnSO4, F2125% NPK+ S +ZnSO4, F3-133% NPK+ S +ZnSO4). The results indicated that application of Compost @ 5 t ha−1 with spacing 60cm x 30cm andfertilizer level of 133% NPK+ S +ZnSO4 was found significantly superior in case of no of filled seeds plant−1, seed yield ha−1 and net monetary returns ha−1 of sunflower. Similarly, oil yield ha−1 were recorded significantly superior under the treatment Compost @ 5 t ha−1 with spacing 60cm x 30cm and fertilizer level of 133% NPK+ S +ZnSO4).
